Community MetaSteam | February 2026 - Romeo and Rogue: Dead Citadel Requiem

Thinking of replacing my Deck and ROG Ally with a Z2 Extreme device running Bazzite or SteamOS.

Undecided between ROG Xbox Ally X or Legion Go 2. 🤔

Also thinking it may be time to bite the bullet and put Bazzite on my new HTPC. I think I can put up with the Nvidia tax on my 5080 to be free of Microslop.

I do want one of those as well

Are you able to get the MSI Claw Intel model? I've heard good things.

I think it’s sold out in favour of the AMD model.

I’m a little sceptical of Intel GPUs though. No idea how it performs on Linux, mind. Willing to be convinced with charts and what have you.

60 min State of Play happening Thursday.

That is really long so they have to have some PC news there.

They can still fill their Spring quota with Marathon I guess.

But there has to be some Death Stranding 2 news. That makes the most sense.

Astro Bot still not getting announced means its probably never happening and still too early for Yotei.

Their 1st party is slim pickings. Its just gonna be Saros and Wolverine.

Its so sad how predictable console gens have gotten with these long dev times and expensive budgets. Feels like there is next to no surprises at all anymore. Even Nintendo can't put together something really surprising and unexpected for their fans.

Hey lashman, I just noticed
got a big update last month and you already own it. Have you played it since then?
I really liked NaissanceE but early Steam page for SenS basically said don't buy it unless you really want to support development because it's super early and it didn't even have any screenshots.

After a frustrating week because my f*cking bank is slow as a snail when I need them to hurry up, I finally feel calm again. It took a full night raving at Charlotte De Witte's party, a back/shoulder Thai massage and A LOT of unhealthy food and chocolate to calm me down, but whatever. Self-care is important they say. :)

Of course I also needed a relaxing game, so I've been playing Caravans Sandwitch. Lovely game with lovely characters and a mysterious story that keeps me playing.

we're definitely getting 20 mins on marathon and saros so that cuts down the length a lot, we might see death stranding 2 pc but thats it

Nice tech updates, not just a barebones rerelease.

I got a Legion Go 2 and installed Bazzite on it. What a nice big HDR OLED screen. Been playing the new Indiana Jones game on it, it runs pretty well at medium settings despite needing ray tracing.
Good to see performance on such a heavy game is solid.

I just ordered a ROG Xbox Ally X (Legion Go 2 Z2 Extreme was just too expensive for me, despite my broader preference for Lenovo hardware) to replace my Steam Deck and ROG Ally, and I’m looking forward to putting Bazzite or SteamOS on it.

Wake up. Play Nioh 3. Eat. Sleep.

Oh, and bought a 1 to ssd for my mom. She has my old ass ssd with windows 10 installed on it, but there has been worrying signs that things are not well. The other day she lost her main folder with subfolders and 200 books, no explanation, just gone.
And while I know my mom’s potential for whoopsies, that’ some pretty huge undertaking to do by accident.
I will add this new ssd, export her Calibre library there, and let Win 10 rot on the dying ssd. Because I’m lazy and I have niohthing to do.

I guess free 2 play is not what's needed to have more casual players stick and spend on fighters

I remember, when it was still called Project L (prophetic ?), people were convince that it would change how fighters work (in regards of monetization and all that), and it would "destroy" traditional fighters, and yet here we are.

2XKO never seemed very inspired to me, and looked more like Riot were trying to muscle in on a genre through a different business model rather than, y’know, making a game people wanted to play.

It really does feel like Bungie/Sony will need Marathon to perform really well. As well as Arc Raiders did at least.

So yea this is the last time they have an opportunity to blow it out with trailers and new beta info, deep dives, etc.

If this thing flops they will likely abandon all post launch content and quickly move to Destiny 3.

so how many months before consoles and steam are also asking for real id?

i don't have anything to nice to say about the state of society that led us here without sounding like a really toxic asshole. but man i really hate that modern society is built around coddling the stupid and lazy among us.

Especially when there are already government-run ID Systems that can prove the legalk status of a person without disclosing anything personal. Like the eID service of the EU (ignoring possible actions of bad actors from the EU for a moment)

But no, those places want to "verify" you in their own systems to use or sell the data. In the bot-hell of the current Internet, knowing who are the real suckers persons is worth a lot of money.

The EU should make company-owned age or full name verification non-compliant with the law and any company is in breach of the law if they use their own systems to allow content to be visible or accessible.
Possible addendages:
  • underage banning is excluded if the goal is to ban underage accounts to access the service (like the under13 rules for most social media places). (Like banning accounts from children on TikTok, which I have done for 3 years solely based on subjective age-look and unintentional selfreporting)
  • Companies can still use self-reported age gating for non-critical access to services/information if there are no other identifying methods used apart from self-reported birthday

I remember Maximillian Dood swearing up and down that fighters had to change with the times and adopt F2P business models.
