Tomorrow Is In Your Hands

After the collapse of civilization, Sam Bridges must journey across a ravaged landscape crawling with otherworldly threats to save mankind from the brink of extinction. From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience for the PlayStation 4 system.

Starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner.

A Journey to Reconnect a Fractured Society

In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.

So until further I will just believe it will be EGS exclusive and if it is and is crackable I will hit up igg-games.

Otherwise, I will either wait or hope that Kojima has some leverage and shut down any potential EGS exclusvity.

well even Sony couldn't make it exclusive ... and they're funding the bloody thing :P

so there's a very very very very veeeeeeeeery small chance ...

I know I was shitting on this game a few times in the past, but I certainly didn't wish 505/EGS wombo combo to happen for those who looking forward to the game.

My condolences, truly.

I haven't bother keeping up with the game other than watching the first 2 trailers, honestly I'm not too interested in kojima's games after playing mgs4, I bought 5 and still haven't played it outside of the intro. I'll grab it just for the fancy art/graphics but if it's on epic launcher first I'll just wait.

I cancelled my pre-order when Geoff Keighly made a cameo in one of the trailers. That and the gameplay looks boring.

But gameplay aside, there's something about putting actors' faces into games when you have the luxury of not doing that that bothers me. It's even worse when Kojima is just putting all his friends in the industry and film into the game. I know he's a serial fourth wall breaker, but usually it's deliberate. Having actors in games just takes me out of the experience because I'm seeing "that guy who was in that thing" and, well, it's distracting.

I think Shinkawa is an amazing character designer, and Metal Gear always had some pretty batshit-nuts-and-awesome-in-equal-measures character designs - even the ones clearly based on actors of the day - that are lost when Hollywood Face is in the game. I get that Kojima wants to legitimise his work with that club, but I feel he never needed to and the way he's pivoted his works over recent iterations has hurt the quality at the expense of these pivots.

I really think this game is going to be a massive turd. Every bit of footage I've seen was horribly dull.

I expect it to be Kojima's wet dream: him trying to imitate American movie directors trying to imitate foreign arthouse cinema.

So yeah... a massive turd might be an appropriate description.

I'm still mildly curious and pretty happy it's coming to PC though.

I'm really happy the game is coming to PC, although I'm kinda wary about how they'll choose to implement the control scheme on M+KB. Ultimately, I like that weird games with non-mainstream gameplay can exist. Far Cry could learn something here. It ended up ADD-like with its constant obsession with jangling keys in front of the player's face. There's something to be said for a game that takes a step back. Focuses on putting one foot in front of the other. Yes, it's a lot like ME: Andromeda structurally if you squint. Yes, the writing appears to be genuinely terrible. But, you know, as a game, it seems to be an interesting experience that is either quietly compelling or dull as ditchwater depending on your tastes.

DLC ? Surely that's not a tease for the PC version.

Do we know who's doing the PC port ?

Extremely interested in this title since its PC announcement. I love enigmatic, surreal games.

This looks so good at 60fps....

Motion clarity is a hugely understated benefit of high framerates. To me a 60fps game just "looks" so much better.
30fps always appeared janky and I'm well aware it does not stop at 60fps.

Having a 144hz monitor and all that.

Please

PLEASE

Someone mail 505Games and tell them to fix their regional pricing. Tweet their Twitter or the community managers.
PLEASE!!
community@505games.com

they did ... that's the fixed pricing

how do i know that? when the game first went up on egs it actually had proper regional pricing (because 505 weren't the ones setting it themselves, unlike on steam) ... and then after like an hour they changed it to whatever it is now (same as on steam)

It's 505Games, they NEVER change their stance on pricing.
I talked to one of the community managers, she said to mail it to them. Yesterday, I saw 505 responding to legit questions around DS PC release.
If it wasn't for my extremely busy college schedule, I would've done something.

BUT, we still need to work as a collective. If we don't highlight the issue in the first place, they won't know.

but they DO know, they just don't care ... they're well aware just how bad that regional pricing is (they did the same thing with Indivisible ... and people were complaining ... they just ignored everyone)

i mean - i agree with you ... i just also know they don't give a fuck :P

For those wanting to get Death Stranding prices fixed, post a comment here and telling 505 they should feel bad for even pricing Death Stranding like this

It has got so bad in India, even the media is reporting it.

505 Games have uploaded a bunch of clips of the PC build showcasing various features :
Photo mode :

Ultrawide support :

PC build looking mighty fine already. I don't think there will be too many improvements over the Pro version.
60fps is going to be transformative and possibly even higher framerates could be supported.

Disappointing, but understandable. I expect any previously announced release date or time period to be considered fluid at this point.
