I'm a big fan of retro style games that would have looked fantastic had they come out at a time when the tech employed were technically possible. That is to say, I'm a fan of good art and developers who obviously put real effort and passion into their project! (rather than viewing their work as pure parody or irony and that their work isn't to actually stand on its own merit - or games that are simply garbage disguised as 'retro')

These devs are vets of Quake mapping too, and it shows. This is authenticity, genuinity, and craftsmanship.

I am a little excited at it but I wasn't really sold on the immersive sim aspect. It really came down to a lot of destructible barrels and physics in a game, which hasn't really amazed me since Half-Life 2. I love the aesthetic but I'm still on the fence and waiting to see more.
