It's hard choosing just one, but in the end I went with Ori.
Primarily since that's a game which recently made me think "awesome that's releasing soon".

Has Hollow Knight Silksong actually been announced for this year?

My personal list:

Cyberpunk 2077
Doom Eternal
Half Life Alyx
Teardown
Spelunky 2
Eastward
Panzer Corps 2
UFO 50
Gears Tactics
Trials of Mana
MS Flight Sim
iDracula Genesis
Guilty Gear Strive
System Shock Remastered
Resident Evil 3
C&C Red Alert Remastered
Serious Sam 4
Carrion
Psychonauts 2
Vampire Bloodlines 2
Iron harvest
Monomyth
Bushiden
Panzer Dragoon Remake
Desperados III
Empire of Sin
Freedom Planet 2
Mount & Blade II
Moving Out
Briagdor Killers
Death Stranding (PC)

Whew, that's a lot, but the lack of Granblue Versus and GG2020 makes me sad. Think of the fighters!

I don't want either, though. I only have a PC, so I guess from what's confirmed on PC... Resident Evil 3, Doom Eternal, and Cyberpunk?

Doom's gonna be good, I'll play that and Ori but I'm hardly excited for any of the games on the list so my vote goes to other - Frog Detective 3

Ori and Hollow Knight are ones I'm most interested in because the original were good and they could potentially improve them.

Don't really know enough about some of the other games for me to care, and I'm generally kind of pessimistic with big AAA companies on not to fuck up with their games :P

Ghost of Tsushima, I miss Sucker Punch. Played through the Infamous games in the last 4 years and introduced friends to the Sly Cooper games in that timespan as well. I'll always be a fan of Sucker Punch and other studios that have heart in their 3d collectathons like Insomniac too, so I'm really looking forward to what they've come up with. :steam_pigblanket:

Humankind for me, followed by M&B 2 then Destroy All Humans. But shit, I'm looking forward to most games on the pool, even got Cyberpunk and Vampire 2 pre-ordered. 2020 will be a blast, and I'm not even thinking about annual franchises like FM 21 or F1 20.

In order: Elden Ring, TLoU2, Animal Crossing, Doom (if gets a significant price cut in 2020), Ghost of Tsushima, Nioh 2 if it releases on PC, Cyberpunk (mostly for reactions / discussion about it), Death Stranding on PC. Going to really try to not give in to hype this year and play a backlog game or two for every new game. So these might not all be 2020 for me.

Half-Life Alyx and nothing else comes close.

I don't even care that I don't have VR, the fact that a Half-Life game is actually coming out is all that matters.

My top 2 are FFVII and TLoU, so it's a bit problematic that I don't own PS4. Stop this exclusivity bullshit immediately. 😤

Most anticipated PC game is probably Watch Dogs.

The big thing for several of these (FFVII and Cyberpunk for sure maybe others) is that there is very likely to be DLC that is very good and it makes me less interested in buying those games until the inevitable "GOTY Edition" or whatever that includes it all. The Witcher 3: GOTY edition for example has two VERY VEFY good DLCs that honestly are better than parts of the main story. In fact, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are so good, I'd argue playing those without the main game. If the Cyberpunk DLC is close to that level, I'll have to end up waiting a year or so to play it.

And can mine be none of them ? :cryblob:

Not to sound too cool for school here, just a symptom that I’m long past the point where I’ve drowned in the constant flow of releases. Or I guess all of them works, too.
That being said I voted Doom. I hate this anti-climactic choice but I had great pleasure playing the former episode, so I’m relatively faithful it will be the case here too. The obvious choice would be Cyberpunk to me, but I’m still not certain it will be a touchdown.

Those were the two in the end I was bouncing between before settling on Ori. I think Hollow Knight: Silksong has the greater potential to be the better game, but Ori was such a well made game that the idea of just more of that with extra stuff built into it and even better graphics is just lovely sounding.

There's a bunch of others I really am looking forward to but ultimately I decided by what will I buy day one and how much would I pay so those two above were the final choices. II nearly went with Yakuza bit I'm not caught up just yet and the change to making it a turn-based RPG just has me taking one step back. I'll at least wait for a bit before worrying about picking it up, but I am pretty excited for it.

Come on, just a few more games.

Half Life Alyx is number 1 for me, I love Half Life and bought a $230 Samsung Odyssey Plus a few weeks ago so I could play it.
Other games I'm looking forward to are Doom, Halo, Ori, Hollow Knight, Vampire 2, AoE4, Psychonaughts and Wasteland 3, Cyberpunk is a big maybe, I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay of any of the Witcher games so I'm in a big wait and see mode. Both BotW2 and Baldur's Gate 3 are something I'm really excited for, hopefully they make it out this year.

All I'm looking for this tear is Cyberpunk2077, Silksong and Elden Ring, in no particular order.
I ended voting for Silksong since it was the only one still with 0 votes.

I'm not really looking forward to upcoming games anymore because of Epic's money hats, but Cyberpunk will be day one for me.

  1. Tell Me Why
  2. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2
  3. Cyberpunk 2077
  4. Kentucky Route Zero

There are more than that, but the Era voting thread vanished and I can't remember them all.

Even though it's not confirmed for 2020. Elden Ring's my most anticipated. Dark Souls is one of my favourite games and so is FROM's latest entry, Sekiro. I need more exploration goodness and that's why I can't wait for Elden Ring.

If I had another anticipated game that's a lock for 2020, it would be Resident Evil 3. I loved the RE2 remake last year.

That's about it. I'm not anticipating any others from the poll for a variety of reasons e.g. not played the previous entry yet, uninterested in VR, etc.

I think the fact that there has to be one winner sucks, there are so many great ones coming. Cyberpunk, Ori and MFS 2020 are releases I await impatiently.

I'm also pretty sure C2077 is going to be a mess. They were missing entire swaths of the game a year ago, I doubt they can release it in a very polished state. I'm half-expecting a delay or cuts any time now.

Nioh 2, because i have played the beta and don't have to hope for it to meet expectations.

Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Hollow Knight Silksong, FF7 Remake, Dying Light 2, Doom Eternal, The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Half Life Alyx, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2, Age of Empires 4, Tales of Arise, Wasteland 3...

sooo many games look fantastic to me and are games that i feel like i "need" to play if they turn out good :sweaty-blob:

I don't care about any game on this list as much as I do Silksong. BotW2 would top it though

It was ahrd to choose between 2077, HLA, TLOU2, Doom Eternal, RE3R and Elden Ring, but I chose TLOU2.

Yet there are also other games I heavily looking forward to like Ori, Ghosts of Tsushima, AoE4, Halo Infinite, Hollow Knight, Control, What The Golf etc.
