News Sniper Elite V2 Remastered – Reveal Trailer | PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch



Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on May 14 for $34.99 / £29.99 / €34.99, developer Rebellion announced. The console versions will be available physically at retailers via distributor Sold Out. Pre-orders for the digital edition will include a 10 percent discount, and users who already own the original Sniper Elite V2 on Steam can upgrade to Sniper Elite V2 Remastered for $9.99 / £6.99 / €9.99.


Overview of the upgrades:

On top of 4K and HDR support on available platforms, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered features beautifully updated environments, characters, weapons and vehicles, modernized rendering and post-processing effects, enhanced texturing and level geometry, a revamped lighting system, and dozens upon dozens of improvements and refinements.

In addition to visual upgrades, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered introduces a brand new frame-by-frame photo mode, seven new playable characters from Rebellion’s Zombie Army series, expanded multiplayer for up to 16 players online on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and up to eight players on Switch, and all the additional content ever released for the game, FREE.

Awesome! Sniper Elite V2 is such a great game!

I love the slow-motion gameplay, I think this will be amazing for Switch owners. I may pick it up for PS4, though that price drop upgrade on PC is very tempting.

Me too!

I know a lot of people expect such re-release to be a free update on PC, but I really have no problem paying when effort was clearly put into really improving things visually.
I'm all for supporting further development in older games, in a way that is both good for the developers (the extra sales), and for gamers (who get to play improved versions of games they enjoyed).

I remember playing MP only, good lord was it fun. There really isn't anything like it, just camping one another and playing chicken with sniper rifles.

what's even better is playing Nazi Zombies with someone ... SUCH a fun game
