Let's have a thread where we can discuss the LEGO games!

I have never created an OT thread before, not in GAF, not in ERA. So please excuse me for not making a high quality OT yet. I will try to make a good one.

OMG, YES!!! finally a LEGO games thread, thank you!!!

i love every single LEGO game TT made so far ... i always have so much fun with those games!

also - you're missing DC Villains ;) and maybe you could link each one to its store page? just an idea :)

No Lego island and other earlier Lego games? This thread is biased af! That TT Games bias...

;)

I like them too... But haven't played one since the first avengers game
They are a bit samey overall, they can't really hold my attention in the long run...
But they are mostly super charming games

Added DC Villains. Thanks for the link suggestion. Let me know if I gave them incorrect links

I really should play one of the LEGO games one of these days.
I own most of them on Steam (I believe I'm only missing the ones released this year), but my experience with the series so far has been: 3,5 hours of LEGO MARVEL Super Heroes, and 1 hour of LEGO Batman 2. :giggle:

So, what game would you recommend for a LEGO videogames newbie for a start?

i'd probably start with one of the MARVEL ones - they have open levels and stuff ... or maybe LEGO City, that one's pretty damn good too! :)

Added the cover image, I took the most recent LEGO game release, which is DC Villains

My most recent LEGO game is Lego Batman 3. With that game I played through all Lego Batman games apart from DC Villains.

Edit: I got pretty much almost all Lego games. Missing the Indiana Jones games, Undercover and the four most recent releases and .

that's a REALLY good cover image, love it! :)

oh, and in case you want to make that LEGO logo smaller - you can :) just edit the post and click the image ... resizing handles should appear then :D

Thanks. This forum seems to be more customizable than Era and any other forums I have ever been to. Btw, I used an image from wikipedia, is that ok?

thanks :) we wanted to add as many "cool little features and time-savers" as possible just to make posting good-looking stuff easier
and yeah, wikipedia is fine ... i mean - why wouldn't it be? :p it's just embedding the image, not actually uploading it to the forum's server

I've only ever played LEGO Racer's (on a family friend's computer when I was a wee kid).
I remember menu navigation was so confusing (and I couldn't read English well enough) that for the 2 hours I spent on it, I was only able to do one race. :p

Kinda strange, are they doing similar thing as with Lego Hobbit?

apparently

The Simpsons should get it's own Lego game. I mean, there have been some Lego sets with Simpsons. There even have been two series of collectible Lego Minifgures

well they had Simpsons in Dimensions ... but, naturally, we didn't get that one on PC (because shitty toys) .... fuck WB

Just finished Lego Incredibles, fun enough but I wasn't tempted to venture into the world outside of the main missions/story.

yeah, it sure seems like Incredibles was their side-project while working on DC Villains

ohhh ... maybe it already came out on PS4?

It is indeed, it came out alone before the Switch and ONE version got announced, in fact those two were leaked by a retailer.

I'm still diving into the Lego TT Games, but so far my favorites have been: Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, & Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

Tried Lego Harry Potter, wasn't that big a fan of, & I'll probably check out the rest as they go cheaper.

I really dig the customization options for these games, but I wish there as a simpler way to access the customization without going to the main hub & change it in podlike nature. Maybe a menu on the pause screen or a separate toggle in the character select screen in Free Play?

well you can choose from all the available characters in free play mode ... at least in the newer games ("newer" as in like the last 6-8 games)

I meant the custom character you can make in every Lego game. The ones in the pods that you can swap individual parts of the minifigure with pre-existing parts that you can find in every hub world. Not the menu where you can freely select the whole pool of characters.

My bad if I wasn't clear on that part.

ohhhhh, those ... yeah, yeah ... that's true ....

not sure about the previous games (can't remember), but at least in the newer ones they give you 5 or 6 slots for custom characters you can change between in free play ... obviously not as good as a full editor, but at least it's something, i guess :P

Do the custom characters get their own super power. Last Lego game I played was Batmans 3. I didn't customize any characters at all, except when you needed for the side quests

they do in DC Villains .... well, maybe not "custom", but you can choose from a few available ones

Legos are cool

Lego is life!

There are bunch of Lego games on sale
I'm too lazy to list them while on phone. But here you can all games on currently lowest price. Some games are even on their historically lowest price, such as LEGO DC villains and LEGO the movie 2

I need to update the OT

I own most of these games on Steam, but haven't played any other than the first few levels of Star Wars and Harry Potter. I should continue playing either of those, since they were charming and kinda fun.

I'm looking forward to the new Lego Star Wars game that will end up having all 9 episodes in them (it would just be Missing the stuff from that one clone wars Lego game
