This should have happened when Harold Ramis was still alive. If Bill signed on for this, fuck him for being the sole hold out for all those years.

I mean, it wasn't like a sequel was necessary in the first place. It's not a Half Life 3 situation.

Obviously Bill would make a cameo at most.

I legitimately feel it's too late to make Ghostbusters 3. I have zero plans to see this unless they perform dark magic and raise Ramis from his grave to play his role.

Sure, it wasn't necessary but Ramis and Akroyd tried for years and years to get a third one made and Bill was ALWAYS the hold out, not committing to it.

Wait, so they're just ignoring they one that everyone made a huge fuss over?

They talked about making this movie for 20 years, ended up making that other wretched mess and now we're back to 3?

It seems Ghostbusters 3 (2020) will take a page from the short lived Extreme Ghostbusters (1997) where Egon recruits 4 lone college students to become the next generation of Ghostbusters.

I like the idea of them passing the torch to a new generation, but at the same time I agree with most people in the thread. They should stop with the sequel or making a franchise with this & persue new projects with new scripts.
