Is this site legit? The linking steam account for purchases is tingling my spidey senses
They are legit, I have purchased the previous bundle and this one and got all my keys. The reason that it requires you to link your steam account (dumb idea to require it, btw) is that it tells you if you already own a game and it gives you the option to gift it or turn it to credits.

The website is run by ex-humble staff:

About that.....

Sony are apparently pulling out of Pc for AAA games.

that tweet is entirely based on a clip from a Digital Foundry podcast where one of them says he "feels" they might tone down their PC efforts, but also says he has no clue.

And judging by that person who tweeted it, its someone who values exclusivity. Make of that what you will. A lot of people have suggested that over the years because they want it to happen.

BTW, to not go on Elons site directly, you can use xcancel.

Having had the chance to play a few of Sony's games these last few years, there's something about them that leaves me deeply uninterested in playing their sequels. I played Horizon and I have no interest in Forbidden West. I played Spider-man 2 and I am not excited for Wolverine. I played Tsushima and I am indifferent towards Yotei. You get the picture.

The only sequel (of a sort) that I do want to play is Saros, because I really enjoyed Returnal. Not coincidentally, Returnal was the only game (of those I played) that didn't follow the Sony formula of open world cinematic action adventures. I really think Sony needs to start taking more risks with their projects and prioritizing gameplay over cinematics and production values because their catalogue is getting stale.

Obviously Sony has a bunch of back catalogue titles they could mine some gems to port, but it seems pretty evident that they only care about their most recent games.
Anything that's more than a decade old and isn't part of an active franchise seems dead to them. To quote one Jim Ryan, "Why would anybody play this?"

Though to be fair Ryan's been out like a year now, maybe his successor cares more about the legacy stuff but these things just take time.

Anyways Death Stranding 2 is coming out soon.
Aside from the few absolutely brain dead omissions (Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Gran Turismo), it doesn't seem like anything has changed in Playstation's PC tactics in the past few years.

Jim Ryan’s acolytes took his place. The strategy at Sony is by and large the same.

The live service pivot has failed but they still make billions on 30% fees for all PS games, and PS5 install base is huge, so I reckon the strategy of cutting first party is going to continue.

If Sony games stop coming to PC, it’s probably because Sony have stopped making them.

I just checked the top wishlisted games on Steam and Marathon is the 40th most wishlisted game.

This doesn't tell us how many people have wishlisted the game, but this other extraction shooter that will be coming out later in the year was at 700,000 wishlists at the end of 2025:

It's the 52nd most wishlisted game on Steam. I guess this means that at least 700,000 people have wishlisted Marathon.

Also, I remember another extraction shooter coming out in March:

SAND is the 48th most wishlisted game on Steam.

I think that this shows that people are really interested in extraction shooters and are still looking forward to any promising ones despite the fact that there are big titles that are out right now (Arc Raiders, Escape from Tarkov).

I'm getting all 3 because I just really enjoy the genre and want to experience as many of them as possible. I haven't felt like this about a genre since I started playing MMORPG.

EDIT:

I just realized that PUBG: Black Budget is higher on the top wishlisted list.

So 4 extraction games on the top 52

Even though PUBG isn't as popular as it once was, people are still interested in the franchise.

I've been playing Killer Inn for a couple days now and, while I love the concept and think it can be fun, the worst thing that Square could have done was allow people to party up before a match and enter it together. It doesn't really work well for a social deduction game where everyone is randomly assigned to either be wolves (killers) or lambs (those who are suppose to find out who the killers are).

I'm not interested enough in Sony's 1st party single player games to want a playstation console.
If they keep coming to PC, I'll likely get them as long as they're in a type of genre I enjoy, but if they stop, it won't really be a big deal for me.

Though, if they do stop, I wonder what will happen to Nixxes, if they'll be reduced to just a support studio after Death Stranding 2 PC, or if they'll end up like Bluepoint... :/

this is me right now

Looks pretty good. Might buy a "physical copy" since it's cheaper here than on steam. Kinda funny they sell it in a steel case when it's only steam key.

Came across a long tweet where someone talks about what happened at Bluepoint in the last few years. The person claims to have gathered information from talking a few Bluepoint employees. No idea if it's true or fan fiction or rage bait. Can't believe anything you read on the internet, but it would be interesting if it's true.

I know some people are afraid they might burst into flames by clicking a Twitter link so here's the text;

Bluepoint Games FINAL REPORT: From Bloodborne Remake Potential to Shuttered.**I spoke to 4 Bluepoint employees and this is THEIR STORY on timeline, dates, and codenames for projects:

End of 2020- Bluepoint Ships Demon's Souls and talks begin with Sony Acquisition and working on more original projects:
  • Sony did not think the remakes/ remasters made enough money, and some people within BP and Sony wanted to branch out.
  • All heard that Shadow of The Colossus remake lost money, but it was assumed it would, but Yoshida wanted to preserve the game.
  • Shadow of The colossus remake biggest criticism was the new face on the main character. However, Fumito Ueda wanted it to look that way and designed it.
  • There were conversations about doing add-on content to the remakes to help with funding into original content, and grow design department.
  • It was assumed in the studio that BP would be remaking Bloodborne after Demon's Souls.
  • Bluepoint had a design department of 1-2 people, but was not sufficient for a full project.

2021 - Quote "In early 2021 after Demon Souls, studio staff assumed they would work on Bloodborne, and started to prepare to, however they did not get the greenlight due to internal politics of Bloodborne involving a fragile relationship with FromSoft, Sony, and the original IP." SOURCES DO NOT THINK BLOODBORNE REMAKE WILL EVER BE MADE DUE TO POLITICS!

  • Bloodborne was pulled from the table and BP had no project.
  • BP was assigned to help with Ragnarök support due to SMS needing some help, and a combo of other factors.
  • Jim Ryan was pushing live service hard and Sony had a desire to explore making God of War into an Assassin's Creed style franchise.
  • Franchise would explore different mythologies and characters.
  • BP was NOT allowed to make a game with Kratos as SMS/ Sony did not trust BP with that and it would be too expensive.
  • September 30th, 2021.. BluePoint is bought by Sony.
  • Bp is acquired and tasked with coming up with an original project in the God of War universe. The catch was they needed to stretch the content, but BP employees did not know at the time it was a live service game.
  • They stated "A gamble was made by convincing Sony to buy us instead of us looking for funding elsewhere."
  • After the acquisition there was a culture change within Bluepoint.

2022 - Prototyping begins for "Demon Souls meets God of War" also called CP13.

  • BP staff was not told initially that the game was a live service game.
  • BP still had a minimal design team.
  • BP did not have a Game Director for this project, was promised one on loan from SMS (Santa Monica Studio) and a couple designers once Ragnarök was shipped.

End of 2022 - SMS Game Director and designers joined the team.

  • A lot of time was spent prototyping but the mesh of SMS/ BP did not go well as they were not familiar with BP's engine, fully remote work due to covid, and hiring freezes at sony.
  • Very soon after SMS folks arrived, BP staff learned the game they were having to make was a live service game and they needed to work with what they had.
  • Internal issues began to arise, and the ones on board with live service were the head shed at SMS, Sony, and BP.
  • It was unclear whether BP leadership believed in the project, or just doing their best to salvage morale.
  • About 75% of staff employees, according to sources, were against this move and pushed back against making a live service.
  • After deadlines were not hit, internal strife from employees, the project was canceled by Sony in early 2025.

2025 Bluepoint begins pitching projects to Sony.

  • They pitched Jak and Daxter remake, resistance remake, shadow of colossus remaster (bringing game to PS5, updating graphics, adding 4-6 new bosses, with several pulled from the original ps2 content.
  • Bloodborne Remake was again pitched. A small portion of the team worked on it for 2-3 months, but Sony pulled the plug. (It was never officially greenlit, but they were deep in negotiations and BP thought they would make it). 2 new IP's, and worked on some small pitches all under CP-13 folder, and then CodeName "Black Fang" CP-14 was pitched.
  • CodeName "Black Fang" was a ghost of Tsushima spinoff that Sony liked.
  • Sony gave Bluepoint 5-6 months to prototype it (until end of March 2026) to prove they could make it.
  • Employees felt it was going okay even though it was never officially greenlit and were on track to hit deadline.
  • Employees found out on February 19th that they were being shut down and project Black Fang is canceled. Studio last day is March 2nd, 2026.

It is worth noting that Bluepoint did use contractors, however majority of the people stayed at the studio from Shadow until shuttering. About 40 employees have been there the entire time, with the rest being contractors. This obviously has fluctuated with retirements, deaths, and turnovers. According to all sources, people stayed at Bluepoint and wanted to continue to stay there! A sad story to such a wonderful group of talented artists!

This is one of the replies underneath that Tweet. I automatically believe Schreier over anyone else when it comes to the inner workings of the Games industry.

Would be nice if he could share what happened then. Bluepoint is definitely one of the more baffling studio closures.

Most of the time it happens you can usually see what the logic was... for example, everyone was mad when Arkane was shut down but that happened in 2024 I think and the last time they had made a profitable game was 2014 (Dishonored). Don't have to like that it happened but it's obvious why it happened. Bluepoint closure is a bit of a mystery.

He is without doubt working on that story
