Game of the Generation Stray got a Steam page so I guess I'm good on needing a PS5

No Horizon or Bloodborne PC mention though :(

PS5 looks like a router, but it's not awful

Not a fan of the console design tbh. Also wonder how much cheaper the DE is going to be.

Some of the individual trailers are 60fps at least. I watched the GT7 one but wasn't blown away, I expected at least that to scream next gen. Maybe in 4k/120fps.
 
This was way better than that Xbox event, lots of interesting games but not strong enough to make me want a PS5 ASAP. At least the event was high quality and they actually put effort in showing gameplay.

Resi 8 looked great.
HZD2 looked nice but i know it'll bore me just like the first game.
Prokject ATHTA look intruiging as fuck.
Demon Souls Remake still has me worry if Bluepoint can nail it.
Spider Man 2 is instantbuy.
Ratched and Clank looked nice.
Rando Furry VN was ???
Ghostwire Tokyo looked very different than i expected but also hella intruiging
Rest was meh

Nothing that makes me go and buy a PS5 day 1, Demon's Souls Remake looks amazing, but already played it (with 97% tropies) so that can wait, GT7 looks good, but also can wait.

Ratchet game looks amazing, but overall PS5 will be bought on a sale at some point.
 
Meh. Nothing super impressive graphically and not that many interesting games (most of which are obvious multiplatform). RE8 looks like crap (probably in early stages of development), Godfall is plain trash, Ghostwire is mildly interesting. The First-Party was quite underwhelming and I haven't seen anything with paradigm changes in design.

That's my conclusion so far too. Maybe even wait for first slimmed down version that hopefully looks better.

to me the only interesting ones were
Hitman III (obviously)
Resident Evil VIII (looking very cool)
Project Athia (trailer posted said "also coming to PC")
Kena (trailer posted said "also coming to PC")
Little Devil Inside (trailer posted said "also coming to PC")
Horizon 2 (which could still come to PC in a few years, I guess)

and thats really it. The whole show was a big "meh". I didnt expect PC news, I guess those will be announced elsewhere, surely. They know this show is for their console audience. A lot of buzzword speech across the presentation. Ah well, was fun to be in the chat talking to some of you, at least :)

In case anyone was curious Little Devil inside is fucking ancient, I feel slightly bad in some sense since it's being made by 3 people but jeez. It was kickstarted in 2015, with them saying it was planned out over 2 years since 2013. So they've been working on it for 7 years.

To the point of they highlighted the fact that they were accepted by greenlight on steam.

Yea I don't know about that Demon Souls remake. The game is only 11 years old so why remake it? Should have been FROM that remade it or just remaster it. Also is bluepoint using Unreal Engine? Because if they are then its not gonna feel like a FromSoft game at all.

They should have remade something much older like MGS1 or Syphon Filter.
 
Man, Horizon 2 is gorgeous.
Pragmata looks so much like a Kojima game, really intrigued by that one.
I thought RE8 looked great.
Housemarquee's new game looks cool as well.
Spider-Man is one of my favorites of this gen so the new one is a must play for me.
 
Well, I never intended to get a next-gen console and I don't feel like there's much to miss out on that won't come to PC and not-EGS eventually. The show was nice but as something supposed to kickstart a gen, I can't help feel that this was barely a whimper in the wind. It feels more business as usual with a hardware upgrade than anything game-changing. Did not see much of the new SSD's advantage other than world density.

I like the console's design though!

DeSo servers are down aren't they? You get swanky looking DeSo with online again. I think some people would be really into that again.

The only game that seemed to show off the supposed benefits of the SSD was Ratchet&Clank with the instant jumps from world to world.

I'm not giving up on Bloodborne yet.
But right now I just want to see P4G in my steam library.

And all I see is that Ratchet dimension tunnels are the new loading screens.

Only Tokyo Ghostwire and RE8, I literally didn’t care for anything else.
Surprised to not see any fortnite with how buddy buddy epic has been with Sony
 
I guess I'm just not the target market for these big hardware reveals.

Virtually every game they showed had this sense of urgency about them (Look how EPIC your adventure is gonna be!!11!1!!!) that just isn't my thing anymore.

Big Games (tm.) just kinda bore me at this point.

I'm sure the fanbase was happy so that's cool.

Ratchet looked cool. As did Little Devil Inside.
