I have been watching... Psych.
I never watched the series when it was on the air, and I finally started watching it a couple of months ago. I should finish season 5 today, so I still have seasons 6, 7 and 8 to watch (I don't have the movie that was released after the series ended).
Besides that, October is the month I usually watch plenty of horror marathons, but this year, I've been extremely tired, and with little to no patience to watch anything at all, so I saw a single movie this month: Mandy, at the cinema.
I'll probably go to the cinema next week to catch the new Halloween, and there's a few things I want to watch on Netflix:
Apostle is kind of good, I watched it the other night and I liked it, there are some things that got me off the movie, little details that may not concern you or even bother you but I noticed them, still I enjoyed it and had a great time watching it.
I thought about it but while highs are high the lows are so low with this show. The supernatural aspects make up a large part of the show and they're just the worst.

So, watched The Night comes for us ...
It's pretty bad ass, must see if you like stuff like The Raid and so on. It's just two hours of straight brutal action with a alibi story wrapped over it. Not on the same perfection level as The Raid movies but pretty close overall. Perfect movie to watch with a few buddies and go "oh" and "uuuuuhhhh" together every time another henchman gets killed in creative and bloody ways.
Also hard gore warning! This shit is almost a splatter film... So maybe avoid if explicit violence isn't for you
Pretty surprised that no one has added The Terror yet, I think it's one of my favorite shows of the year, really really good and don't want to spoil anything so I will just say that it involves The Arctic, Two English Ships in late 1800's and a mystery.
It's a really great show if you haven't watched it yet you should.
I really liked it (I think I was shilling it on Schnitzel-central earlier this year) even though I don't like horror movies/shows. Probably helps that I read the book, but the changes were very well thought out, and the pacing was pretty much perfect.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Broly isn't my favorite movie villain (Janemba is my boi), but Broly is hugely popular and I can see why they would go with him. And I love how they're canonizing some previously non canon characters, which I hope they do with other non canon bois like Janemba, Tapion, Pikkon, Cooler, Gogeta, Icarus, and Baby (yes, I liked GT even though it is the weakest DB series). I am a bit skeptical about them erasing some of the history, like Goku coming to Earth as a baby rather than a toddler and the entirety of Bardock: The Father Of Goku special, but I am really excited to learn about the history of Saiyans and the fact that they're making a few cool non canon characters canon.
Also, Hayao Miyazaki's next film. He is my favorite film creator of all time, and Studio Ghibli is my favorite film studio. Miyazaki always makes gold, so this should be no different. Also, it makes me chuckle just how many times the guy retires and unretires. He's like the Terry Funk of cinema.
yEAH i caught Ep. 4-6 on a flight back home....which didnt have ep. 1-3! Didn't mind though because I really enjoyed what I watched and aim to catch up eventually.
So, have watched this one yesterday at the cinema.... Mutafukaz
Well... animation, art style, music... All great... Sadly the story falls totally apart in the second half imo. Still, it's not that bad and I had some fun with it just for its artistic qualities. Watch if if you can just don't pay for it
Also watched this today Alpha ...
I quiet liked it... It's a bit like ice age Apocalypto with proto doggos... Aka wolfs...
But really, it's a bit of a problematic movie, but I enjoyed it a lot overall. I like adventure and men vs nature movies, and pre historic settings are super rare anyways . It's completely shot in "ice age speak", so no English which I dig hard, and the visuals are pretty awesome. The whole movie has a dream like quality to it and the visuals and camera work are top notch. Some wonky effects here and there tho. It's really kinda weak on Story but great in execution and World building.
Give it a go if you like adventure movies, nature and dogs.
Seems cool, not your 90s sitcom Sabrina for sure, could be fun. I gonna watch more of it.
And I finished The Haunting of Hill House ... Well, just watch it if you like spooky ghost horror stuff... It's good and super well made... I really dig how the story unfolds and shows events from different characters views over the run time to tell its story. And the ending of episode 5 is some of the coolest and creepiest shit ever
Man did I like The Terror book. Absolutely fantastic.
Since it's the scary season thing have you watched any good horror movies? My wife has been listening to a horror movie podcast and she's now in to bodyhorror (good for our sex live since she's not repulsed but fascinated by my carcass now)
well, how about the 80s The Fly? Always a fun time... Raw is kinda boddy horror and everything is from a female perspective, your wife might like that. Cool movie too!
For you I can recommend the german classic The Killer Condom, the condom is designed by H.R. Giger! no joke... (based on a german comic book classic)
I was planning on watching Transformers Cyberverse, but now it's more to figure out WTF the show is even about exactly. Not too keen on the face designs and Grimlock not having a gruff voice.
Totally random post.... But I got these this morning and my Ghibli collection is nearing completion... Actually is it complete... Cause the like five movies missing now... I don't like them
Yes I felt the same as I was watching it. Acting is really good imo and there's nothing overtly wrong with it but it's missing a "pull"
I didn't feel like there were really enough stakes, tho that could be because I was disconnected with the main characters and her sisters past. I still haven't finished the movie tho so there might be more there but it should've been made clear from the beginning what the relationship between the two is really.
Yeah, it's not a "bad" movie... Just... B don't know... Shit goes nowhere imo.
And the background of the two doesn't get build up at all later... It just is
Really good filmography too. It looks good, sounds good but it's just not there. Many movies fall in to that so it's not like it's a phenomena in itself.
Avengers 4 is the big one, then Captain Marvel, then these new Star Trek shows that CBS is making. Discovery was... ok I guess, maybe later seasons will offer something closer to the Star Trek content that I enjoy.

The Picard show is a question mark. I want to be excited, but I'm afraid that the writers might not respect the legacy of the character. I think I've had enough of creators who want to 'deconstruct' popular properties. If I see Picard saying "It's time for the federation to end" or "fuck the Enterprise" I swear I'm going to lose it.

yeah ... who knows what they'll do, you're right ... although - we already know it's just gonna be one long-ass movie divided into however many episodes ... because that's how shows work nowadays, apparently .... no more short self-contained stories ... everything has to have a 50h long story arc (*siiiiiiiiigh*)
Just got around to watching the latest season of Venture Bros.
sEASON 7 was fun and great, a couple of things I didn't like but I am curious to see where it goes now. I just wish they'd just end it with the next season because having to wait 18-24 months for 10 episode seasons is irritating regardless of how good the show is.
Also a new short just dropped
This one comes off really awkward after the recent Pete one :V
I've been catching up with Ducktales (2017), & it's absolutely amazing. Now I'm knee deep in Season 2 & watching as it spirals is entertaining. I highly recommend watching it.
The Three Caballeros cartoon was leaked on Youtube and it's a hilarious fun romp too. Frank Welker as the main villain is a neat move, and he even does his Megatron voice.

I really have to catch up with the new Duck Tales, I have seen a few episodes last year but then kinda forgot about it.
I have watched Bodyguard, it was a fun thriller / conspiracy show but not the second coming of christ like some say. Worth a watch if you like stuff like 24 I say.
Also have seen Homecoming, I liked it a lot cause the cinematography and audio design is top notch. But again, not that amazing story wise imo. But give it a go if you like Mr. Robot. Sam Esmail was the show runner on this too and directed every episode, and that shows. Not bad at all, but also not mind blowing twisty as some reviews say.
Then I was down for some light entertainment and watched Crazy Rich Asians. It's a totally fine Rom-Com and crowd pleaser, but overall nothing special. Not to bad if you are in the mood for something like that.
And then I watched the "remake" of Papillon, it's nothing. Worse than the old movie in every way and doesn't bring anything new to the story. It's a competent made movie but just so... Blah.... This one is a useless remake for sure
Oh, I thought you meant the next Ducktales episode for Season 2 which has the Three Caballeros as guests. So I thought that Ducktales got their episodes leaked, but in reality you where refering to The Legend of the Three Caballeros show.

No problemo holmes.
The legend of 3 caballeros cartoon got leaked on youtube and it is pretty good. I look forward to seeing Donald's buddies in DuckTales too
