Just a quick reminder for people who have a social life, a new Tabletop RPG is releasing on July 28th.
Not any new RPG at that, the new RPG from the trendy as fuck Fria Ligan / Free League, the Swedish studio that did nothing but interesting RPG for the last few years.
Mutant Year Zero
Tales from the Loop
Coriolis
Forbidden Lands
And most recently the Alien RPG !
They also bought the studio that made Symbaroum and have a hand in the Dark as Fuck fantasy zine Mörk Borg.
Talk about a CV
So without further ado :
In 19th century 'Mythic' Scandinavia, you play a group of people being able to see Vaesen, folk spirits, and pledged to protect humanity from their increasing madness in a quickly changing world. Industrialization, loss of traditions and the old ways, that kind of change.
Gross caricature, but hey, it could be nicknamed 'Call of Folk Horror'.
From what I gathered, the system is the usual Fria Ligan one, which look relatively simple, very simple even if we talk math and crunch. Roleplay oriented.
It's sublimely enhanced by the illustration of Johan Egerkrans, who did a 'children' folk horror book which inspired this Tabletop RPG.
Now, for some art porn.
