Tried to revise the EN translation a bit. They are some of my favorite lines in this well-written game.

There's a NPC that you can discuss the meaning of the whole poem and it's interesting watching her come with what she believes is the meaning

I like the idea of this thread and I loved the quote in the OP (E33 has some good writing in general; or maybe it feels particularly good because it's rare to have that embedded in a JRPG ).

Nothing to contribute right now, but I'll try to remember it the next time I encounter something neat.

About the need to belong

The human being created civilization not because of a willingness but because of a need to be assimilated into higher orders of structure and meaning.
