New week, new thread! What are you playing? It's Easter so I played a lot.

Continuing Marvel's Midnight Suns. Managed to complete Mobius (It's Morbing Time) story quest. Pairing him with Blade is OP. Next I'm going after the final DLC character, Storm.

Reached the final stretch of Ocarina of Time. Only Ganondorf Castle left. Going on a detour to collect heart pieces and golden spiders first.

Finally, I installed and re-started Judgment. Played it on the Steam Deck a few years ago (but never finished it), now I'm playing it on the big screen. It's surprisingly heavy but I don't want to turn on FSR2 so I'm playing it at 45 fps. Feels smooth enough.

I just finished Lost and Found Co. and I'm looking for other games to play along Octopath Traveller II so I downloaded two games: The Posthumous Investigation and Raider Kid and the Ruby Chest.

Side stuff in Star Rail and Zenless. Good fun.
Zenless combat is just very fun.

Also got properly sucked into WitchSpring R. Wasn't super feeling it after the first hour and contemplated refunding, but then busted out the Steam Deck and gave it one more try, unlocked some more stuff and it clicked. It tickles the "numbers go up" and "just one more thing" parts of my brain just the right way because there lots of systems that all work very well together to constantly get small (or big) power ups. There's a story too. It's nothing special so far, but pretty inoffensive, with hints of potentially getting a bit deeper in time? Fingers crossed.

I have tried playing Crimson Desert on PC with mouse and keyboard. The graphics are great, but the user experience as a PC user has been quite bad. Activating various quest markers has been a journey. Sometimes you press E, sometimes you hold ctrl to focus attention and press either E or R and sometimes you have to press f2 and select specific items in complex submenus and stand in ridiculous positions to use said items (the broom used standing atop the chimney says hi). I assume that the systems will get even more complex soon. In the very first tutorial area where you learn the puzzle mechanics, the instructions on how to focus light with your sword are wrong, so I got stuck there and had to try various combinations of buttons to progress. The gameplay systems in this game are not very intuitive when playing on PC with mouse and keyboard!

Was in a Resident Evil mood after Requiem, so I blasted through another playthrough of Resident Evil 4 Remake (an XSX copy I hadnt cleared yet) last week... still wasnt enough to scratch the itch, so I bought and finished the Steam version of Separate Ways (the Resi 4 Remake DLC) on the weekend.

These sessions just highlighted even more how much worse the Leon sections in RE9 are from RE4 - RE9 Leon bits are perfectly serviceable, but RE4's stuff is just an action horror masterclass.

Also dipped my toe into Reverse Collapse per Cacher's suggestion. Its been pretty fun so far, but I can see the more tightly scripted levels (the ones with lots of hidden enemy triggers that allow for only a few real solutions) getting on my nerves over time. We'll see!

Nice!

Yeah, usually there's only one real solution for stealth levels (for S rank, specifically) because these levels are basically puzzles. I originally thought they were frustrating but once I realised this, I started to enjoy the level design a ton more. On the other hand, this game loves to throw curve balls at players so you will need to adapt to situation change A LOT on some later levels.

My advice is to fully understand the enemies' route and detection zone before moving your unit, otherwise you will save and reload a ton. Meanwhile, combat stages allow more freedom in how you can tackle the enemies.
