Community MetaSteam | February 2026 - Romeo and Rogue: Dead Citadel Requiem

Unlike some people apparently, I'll still play the new Castlevania even if it's a roguelike, but only if it plays as good as Dead Cells. Say whatever you want about the game but Dead Cells feels awesome to play so if they have that feeling for a real Castlevania game, the sign me the F up.

Man that price is so off-putting for DS2, then I see what the states is paying.

Did they actually do regional pricing in my region!?

Still a bit more than I can chew price wise.

I don’t know, I enjoyed parts of it but overall I already don’t remember much from this SoP. I’m forgetting it in real time as I type this.

I'm usually asleep when these shows happen but I was awake today and Sony decided that they had to impress me, personally, and so they went all out... which is why you guys got a good show. You're welcome everyone.

MGS 4 is going to make a lot of people happy. Highlight of the show I'd say.

Biggest surprise for me was Dead or Alive. Genuinely thought the series was finished. Surely Itagaki knew this was happening right? It was, at least partly, his life's work and I hope he knew it wasn't gone forever.

Regional pricing for Postman game 2 is awful.

New Castlevania looked great.

A new Legacy of Kain was completely unexpected.

Yeah, it was a pretty good show.

Is there any reason I'm not aware of, legal or otherwise, why they're skipping the two Blood Omen games? After the Soul Reaver collection, I assumed Blood Omen 1 and 2 were next...

Looks like Master Collection Vol 2 is a single app with the individual games being DLC under it. Unlike the first one where each game was its own app. It's a minor thing but the inconsistency is a little annoying lol. Especially since I really liked having each game being separate in my library.

Oh, that's annoying. Is there a way to duplicate the app in your library and manually change the cover art so you can kinda have an entry for mgs4 and another for mgs peace walker?

Also, it's kinda curious that this Vol. 2 has way less content than the first. Maybe 99.9% of the development resources were spent on freeing MGS4 for the ps3 shackles? Because this would've been a great opportunity to port the acid games, portable ops, twin snakes, or even revengeance for console people.

I'm playing the latest Honkai Star Rail update and the newest survey outright mentions Steam. It's the worst kept secret in gaming alongside Half-Life 3 (which is totally coming I'm not a schizo honest).

This has been bugging me for a while, and I'm not sure if it's just me or what.

In an event page like this, if I scroll down to the "mega deals" (or "all sales") section, the games would automatically be refreshed constantly. Even when I'm watching a game's micro trailer, the list of games would get refreshed. It's super annoying and I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

Let me browse in peace goddamnit :blobweary:

I'm surprised to see those Dino Crisis ports on Steam considering GOG's involvement in their development. I figured they'd stay exclusive to GOG. I'm happy to double dip, though. Hopefully that means the original RE trilogy will come over eventually.

Steam is now adding the option of including your system specs when leaving a review. Should be mandatory in my opinion but I think people will begin to select reviews that have their hardware specs included to make sure people aren't BS'ing when it comes to performance for a game.

In addition collecting framerate data shows Valve is getting serious about performance information for customers.

Does this include ALL DLC? because that's more than what I paid at release.

Store page says "Play with the classic DOA6 roster and 5 additional DLC characters from the original version, along with new costumes. "

The State of Play was cool, but in the end, I have to say, its just joyful to see you all so happy about these games coming out/to Steam :) Its really nice. I'm glad to see everyone cheer!

One could add the game again as a Non-Steam library entry.... you could even do that twice to get the naming more clean, if you wanted (and hide the original, real entry).
But yeah, I also prefer games being separate instead of collections...my Steam library is already a collection! ;)

The new Castlevania looks great too! The artstyle is just bloody beautiful!

Absolutely, I'm really looking forward to this game. I enjoyed Dead Cells a lot (at least until I lost all my progress) so the gameplay will probably be great as well. A rare day one candidate for me.

MGS4 on PC is great, I enjoyed the game a lot on PS3. Not sure I want to play it again though, the cutscenes are ridiculously long and slow.

It's missing the 2 licensed SNK characters - Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond.

Also they say that costumes purchased in DOA 6 will transfer into this game which clearly means they're not all in by default. It might only have the costumes that the base game of DOA 6 shipped with.

Yeah, I don’t know. To expand a little on my comment yesterday, the SoP was solid. Stacked, bordering on bloated. But the reception here has me a little puzzled. Maybe I’m just a glass half empty guy again.

MGS4 is great, no doubt, but the absence of Acid in the Master Collection and doubtful plan for a part 3 sours me a little.
God of War Sparta something was embarassing. Not certain if this is a Metroidvania but the genre has been firing on all cylinders for years and this look and apparently play like an indie one from a decade past that would absolutely tank on Steam.
Speaking of embarassment, jeez, Brigandyne looked like trash. You don’t need to bloat your show that much if it means including that.

Other than those remarks, yeah yeah, those are big budget video games all right. Mostly boring sequels. Oh, human rooster game is coo… oh nevermind it’s apparently another souls derivative (maybe with some light Dynasty Warriors element ?) I sleep.

Silent Hill Townfall was interesting. Not sure I’m that convinced, but yeah cool. Just the black protag model that looks worse than the mobs is unfortunate.

Cool SoP. Stacked. Bloated. Unsurprising.

Edit. Lol at the coop gaas game everyone has seemingly already forgot.

Interested by the novels Windlesd is based on. Korean fantasy which strays far from Tolkien mold. Interesting.
