I was going to suggest that Sony is being run by Monkies, but that would be an insult to Monkies.
And it has just dawned on me, Sony have entered the same category as Ubisoft and EA for me. A company that once upon a time made some great games, some truly amazing games. But now I would barely notice if they left making games. I would mourn for all the people made unemployed, I would also mourn the loss of so many great games from their back catalogue (which would be more thought than they have given a lot of them). But I haven't really been interested in anything they have done over the course of both the PS4 & PS5.

Oh yeah, and I had forgotten they are talking about squeezing their customers more as a way to offset the AI madness going on with hardware at the moment.
But you see, that would be profitable after 6-7 quarters. By doing this, they are profitable next quarter because they don't need to pay any of those wages.
Yeah, PS5 is my last Sony console. Absolute fucking shambles of a company.
I'm actually tempted to just sell my PS5 and games.
Where are they spending these record profits they are making this gen?
I'd sell it but I still need access to third party games not on Switch 2, unless I buy a ROG Ally X.

Zero games released since Sony acquired them in 2021, and most of that time wasted on a cancelled God of War GaaS spinoff that absolutely nobody asked for and which would have played to absolutely none of the studio's strengths. Just brutal levels of mismanagement.

Same, PS5 was my least used console ever. I bought a Pro like an idiot for FF7 Rebirth, by the time I got to it the PC port was announced a week or so later lmao
Next gen I'll save up for parts instead of £700 for a console to collect dust until the odd marvel game I want comes out a year earlier than PC.
